AUS 40

AUS 40 is a 40% aqueous urea solution developed for SCR systems used in marine applications. In ship and inland waterway engines, it helps reduce nitrogen oxides in exhaust gas; through the SCR reaction, NOx emissions are converted into harmless nitrogen and water vapour. AUS 40 is not the same product as AdBlue / AUS 32 used in road vehicles. Marine SCR systems are designed around different dosing and concentration values, so choosing the correct product is essential. For AUS 40, the relevant quality standard is ISO 18611-1.
